rod bolts and engine rebuild?

i know that you should always replace head bolts when rebuilding an engine even if nothing was wrong with them. but what about the lancer's rod bolts? i was told they expand so you can't reuse them. anyone know?

The rod bolts???

Are you talking about the bolts that connect the rod to the piston? Those are the only bolts I think you could mean.

I think he means rod to crankshaft. That's what they've always been as far as I know. You're thinking of the pins.
