Spark plugs.. Decisions.. Decisions

Hey guys I'm new here, I recently picked up a 2004 OZ rally. I'm planning to replace the spark plugs and wires but I'm not sure which ones to get. Which ones do you recommend? I've heard NGK is the way to go but there are also different types of NGK plugs. I will be going to auto zone and purchasing these if that makes a difference? Thanks

Save your money. They won't improve anything.

The different kinds of spark plugs won't change anything performance wise...but depending on the material used for the electrode you will have to change them after more/less mileage. OEM are usually normal copper plugs i think so might as well just buy those.

Thanks for the reply guys but I'm not trying to do anything performance wise at the moment just wanna do a small tune up. Thought it would be a good idea to change the plugs and wires out just to know its been done. I guess my question was: what's the recommended brand for spark plugs and wires when It comes to a 2004 lancer? Would I find this in my manual? Thanks

Personally i use the normal NGK copper/nickel spark plugs on my 06 turbo lancer. You can look up the part number for your particular vehicle here: http://www.ngk.com/ngk-aut-c1411.aspx

Get the NGK V-Power Part # 6953. It's the stock plug, good for 50k or so, and can be found all around Portland for under $10.
