Which Spark Plugs should i use?
I have been doing a search on this and found thet the NGK BR7ES is what most recommend. However when I look up my plugs at NGK they say use the BPR7ES and the BPR7EIX which is the iridium and is a better plug. I'm guessing the BR7ES isnt iridium? Which ones do you recommend?

If you need more opinions, then why not read the hundreds of threads that discussed this in the past? The S plugs are copper, and the IX plugs are Iridium. Iridiums last longer, but they cost a lot more. Most of us just use the coppers and change them out every 5k miles or so. The coppers can withstand high boost quite well, but they just don't last long. They also are very cheap at under $2/plug. I usually buy 20 at a time (2 boxes).

I said i did a search here and i did do some research elswhere. I just wanted some experience evo owners opinions versus a non evo owner. Your reply is the reason i'm asking the question. you say the 8 and everyone else says the 7's. Thank you for the input War.
No, not everyone else says the 7s. We say 7s for the MOST PART, but you _may_ need 8s. YOu won't know until you use them. Typically, for every 100whp over stock, you go up one heat range - that is the standard, but some do it earlier or later. It all depends on how your car behaves. Now that I run 26psi daily on alky, I always use 8s. Before alky, I always used 7s.

I've posted this in the past, but again for the archives, I've found the non-projected plugs to work very well for avoiding knock. I started testing them when I started running nitrous, with the BR8ES. I get the impression that the shorter side electrode is worth more than the colder heat range. I have had a lot of trouble in the past with knocking the side electrode off even when there is no damage to the rest of the motor otherwise or even any knock picked up by the ECU. I've had two scary events on the EVO that should have taken the plugs apart based on past experiences, but the plugs didn't even show any signs of excessive heat much less any damage. I now run BR7ESs on the street, and I will continue to run the BR8ESs on the nitrous. I see no measurable negative side effects to running the non-projected tips, so I view it as cheap insurance. The 8 heat range however does degrade faster on the street, so I'm not sure BPR8ESs make any more sense than the BR7ESs for most poeple.
