Cool Best ECU, intake, and throttle body?

I currently own a 2002 Lancer ls and want to soup it up a little. I am looking at replacing the ECU, cool air intake, and throttle body. I don't know which one would be the best/cheapest. I appreciate all of the help that I can get, since I have had no previous experience with cars and am only 16. Thank you very much for your help!

RRM bored throttle body - $289
AEM cold air - $229 at RRM

To the best of my knowledge, no one sells a replacement ECU anymore, but you can get RRM's piggyback unit for $439.

Are there any other good places to buy from? What about a new exhaust, which one would be the best? By the way, thank you sooo much for helping me! I really appreciate it a lot!

i've heard very good things about the magnaflow catback... check out the good deal in the private and for sale part of the forum... if your not to picky on name brands... do what a good handful of people here did... weld a universal muffler onto some custom piping... i had mine done for about 180

road race carries the magnaflow catback exhaust system and i'll stand by both the exhaust and (especially) Road///Race. as many other people in this thread have already stated.

as far as other quality vendors you can buy from... sure, you can. but obviously there's 1 that has stood out as the best... so why not go with the best?

I love the AEM cold air intake!

although in all seriousness your not gonna get too much power outta the naturally aspired 2litre though without a turbo or supercharger..

yeah turbo or super is the way to get real power unless you have tons of money to spend.... but the piggyback/tb/exhaust/intake should net you a max of 20-25% increase in hp... which is 144-150 at the crank... which is only about 120 at the wheels... just fyi!

thanks for the info. I just don't have enough money for the turbo, unless anyone knows about a fairly cheap one. I'm just trying to get the most horsepower out of the money that I can spend.

You can do most of the stuff mentioned above for cheaper. You probably wont be very flashy but you will see some gains, and you wont be driving a store bought RRM acr either

I have been an advocate of the Eclipse TB mod for a while, no one wants to take it up. Also, you can make a "homemade" cold air intake. Probably wont net as much gains as an AEM, nor as much "show points" but it would give you a little more oomph and it is waaaaaaay cheaper.
