5W-30.

I use Castrol. I trust it. Plus, it's the only oil my dealership uses (which probably doesn't say too much, cuz they suck, but still).

Hey you know what... I wondered, I searched, and I found Take that into consideration before you ask your next question

Free bump just in case somebody else is looking for the info... I know, this thread is over 1 year old.

BTW... I'll be going Royal Purple in a few days... What would be the cons of using 10W30 or 10W40?

no cons, just better heat protection when racing the motor, i use royal purple 10w30, i love it. i think next im gonna try the new q from crapy quaker state, the one for high revving motors. i used red-line once, and for $3-4 less i'd rather the royal purple,

10w30 for warmer weather i believe
5w30 for cooler weather
idk it says it everywhere

10w-30 Castrol for me.
Alittle heavier oil, better for racing.
Slower warm up in the cold though.
Manual recomends either, depending on temps.
