Hi I have a 2008 Lancer Gts I’ve owned it for about a year now. Probably after owning it for 3 months I was backed up into while pumping gas by a Honda Pilot ( Nothing mayor just a cracked bumper). Long story short after waiting for 2 months for it back from the body shop they gave it to me with a rough idle it’ll rev up to 2000 RPMS then idle down to 0 and it will die out on me (my car is 5speed manual). When I have it on any hear it won’t idle down it works fine the only issue is when I put it on neutral or I reach a stop light. Auto shop said they weren’t responsible for it even though I gave them a perfect working car it’s been 7 months now and I still have that problem I’ve only replaced both o2 sensors and I still have that idleing issue. I’m open to any ideas suggestions on how to get her running like before.

 

Well you should start by scanning it for dtcs.

P0171 - system to lean
P2195 - o2 sensor signal stuck lean
by lean does it refer to air or fuel ? Because it does sound like it’s choking a bit when it idels.

 

Hi do you still have this problem. I think we have the same problem
When i am slowing down or when i go downhill in neutral position my idle drops to 200 tp 300 rpm. There are times that it will die when i have it in neutral for too long and car is in motion. But when i am at full stop in neutral position my idle is normal. I have no engine light problem my car is stock. No mods. I have the same 08gts
