Titanium Exhaust for US Lancer

A co-worker tells that lives in California tells me their are tons of aftermarket parts for the US Lancer. He was telling me he can find titanium exhaust systems and all sorts of engine parts.

My co-worker is going on vacation for the next two weeks and when he comes back he will be in conferences for another two weeks. I live in Massachusetts and i think my co-worker is pulling my leg.

I want to know from someone from california if this is true? Give up some names besdies road race motorsports, they only supply so many products. Where are the Flywheel, Pulleys, Billets, etc... if anybody can find out what the hell my co-worker is talking about I would greatly appreciate it!

I really want a titanium cat-back system for my US Lancer and my co-worker tells me that thier are over ten available for the US Lancer. All from companies in Calfornia???????

Yeah, tons and tons... j.k. Man, that would be news to me. I only know of the Buschur, RRM, and RMR. Someone throw another one on there if there is something new.

Wow...a Ti exhaust? With that kind of cost (HKS sells a Ti muffler for 450+) I would rather buy something a bit more useful rather than stylish. The Parts Page is pretty up to date as far as the newest tidbits. It's missing however: Progess Springs, RRM Lower Tie Bar, the price on the turbo kits, and the Injen short ram for the auto crowd. If your friend happens to mention OBX making all those parts...hehehe...I know just how to respond. I like the part where you mention "billet" as a part. Billet is a block of aluminum used to make parts (cold forged [like nice bike cranks!] or if it's going to be forged into new parts)

pjal84 I didn't even notice that i wrote that! It was probably due to the fact that I started the thread at around 3 or 4 in the morning after I came home from a long night of drinking. WOW that's ridiculous.... After I read your respond I had to re-read my thread to even notice that I wrote that.

As for myself wanting a ti exhaust for my car I haven't decided whether to go titanium or aluminum. As for alu exhaust the only manufacture that i have found is VRS in florida and the exhaust sticks out a little to far for my taste.

I don't think Titanium cat-back sys is cost-effective. I have seen Ti exhaust for Porsche costing near like buying a set of 17 inch rims w/ decent tires. Well, people get the general idea and work downwards in price to lesser cars.

I don't think weight will become a major issue with this car for a while... I mean, you'd have to have t up for serious competition before I'd even start worrying about a few pounds.
