AEM posted the before and After Dyno results...
Just as I suspected, at around 3500 RPM with the greatest gains..

http://www.aempower.com/pdf/results/...ancerOZCAS.pdf

We gain 13+ Ft/lbs of torque!!!
8.9 extra Hp!!

Careful with those numbers. Yes, you gain 9 HP (yes I'm rounding) but that's only at 3500 RPM and it doesn't carry over through the rest of the poweband. Past that spike, the band, drops out then when the torque kicks in (4250) it evens out and, like the chart says, in the upper RPM's you're only getting 3.6 . In short, at around that 35k mark, you're going to get a pretty sizeable pull at those front wheels but past that it's gonna mellow on you. Where did you grab that TQ number by the way? The dyno chart doesn't show the TQ difference.

The torque numbers are on page 2.
If you guys listen to the sound clip I posted earlier, the loudest engine roar is at the 3500 - 4000 range. The upper RPM range still has a noticable increase in hp and torque, but it's most pronounced at that 3500 range. Overall, I'd say "BUY". I'm very well pleased with the performance... plus, it's hella cheap if you buy from adventon.com

So, the filter is just open to the road right beside the tire? I was thinking about it and what about if it rains? If you hit a big puddle of water it would be sucked in to the intake right? Hmmm, I like the sound and look of this but I don't know about the location.

The filter is more or less surrounded by the same plastic stuff that is in your wheel wells. The splash guard essentially makes a sort of box. You cut a hole in one side to put the filter and pipe into, and the rest remains protected. If you don't remove the fake mesh under the front bumper of the car then only VERY minimal amounts of water should get in. Unless you submerge the front quarter you should be fine. See any of the other threads on CAI's. This always comes up without fail.

Yeah those results (gains) seem good but yet erratic....its quite unfortunate that Injen is too "yellow" to display their dyno results.

I just ordered a blue AEM cai $250 from a local parts store, I have been surprised about how competitive their prices have been considering all the other local stores want 25% more for their parts

I currently have my filter exposed to the road... The lower plastic piece can be re-attached at any time, but there is a vertical piece that would either have to be cut, or simply tossed because the pipe goes there..

BLARG!!!1
I got mine today but it was missing a 2.75x3" Black Silicone Hose, and 5 Nylock Nuts. Damnit this sucks! Should I call NOPI who I ordered it from, or should I call AEM? It was shipped directly from AEM when I checked the shipping info on the box.
