i just did mine the other day. wasnt hard at all. i would reccomend letting it heat up a bit, everything is MUCH easier to take off. and to get under the car i used a floor jack (the one with the wheels that you gotta pump) and two jack stands like the ones pictured. and if the bolts from the downpipe to the 2nd cat are too tight, use a breaker bar. all you do is use the wrench you need and attatch a pvc pipe or some other sort of pipe as an "extender". it gives you more leverage and torque.
Jackstands are fine, if your scared to be under your car with them, either your using them wrong or shouldn't be under a car in the first place. Try setting your ratchet or breaker bar on the nut and putting a long pipe on it , even a 10 year old can break a nut free like that.
A 10 year old kid can get under the car for sure, but even with an extender he won't be able to breake the nut that connects the downpipe to the exhaust cause there is no place for an extender down there. There is plenty of space for the bolts that connects the downpipe to the headers, but none for the exhaust.
But I will definitly try to heat it up a bit. Some loose nut might help as well.

Deng... all these little things add up in numbers... sheesh... So much money and its not even for performace...
