I just got a lancer that had the same problem, battery drain. The previous owner gave up. I fixed it. The problem was the battery was grounding out to the vehicle, just as if you set a battery on concrete. The why was that there are metal j hooks that attach to the metal under the battery, and they are attached to a metal bracket that goes across the battery on top. The fix was to go to the auto parts store and for about 6 bucks buy a rubber battery hold down. This car had sat for a year, and so the battery acid was visible around and underneath the bracket. That's when it all made sense. If you have a metal bracket across the top of your battery this may be the problem.
