2003 lancer es model wont accelerate
This is a lot so please bear with me. Ok iv done alot to this car. Initially I busted 2 valves after my timing belt slipped. With it being an interface engine I had to replace the head and pistons. Car ran good until I melted my catalytic converter. So I went and got new headers without the catalytic converter. But now the car wont accelerate. I checked all the wiring which is good. But the car will start and run a little rich but I have zero acceleration Recently I sent my ecu in to be repaired after i noticed some diodes were slightly burned. Put it in along with a new tps sensor, maf sensor and car still wont rev up at all it's actually drops a few hundred rpms when pressing the pedal. Bores were not damaged at all btw. Just need some help trying pinpoint the issue. So if you have had this issue and have some suggestions please let me know.

Start first by being safe, backup first and as fast as you can the ecu rom. Thats the most important step.
As soon you have a backup of your ECU Engine Rom, just buy a new engine ecu and reprogram it. I'm not a fan of Engine ECU repaired. It's not absolute certain that it might be working at 100%.
The steps and info are on this forum, plus the help you may need.
Now get a mini-VCI cable, the same for example Toyotas and check DCT's on your vehicule, or at least it works for my SE 2009. Check yours what's the suitable cable.
I'm suspecting if you fried your catalyst as mentioned, O2 or lambda sensor's may have fried their internal resistance and usually you will find out by having battery parasitic drainage OR/AND DCTs on your car.
Hope it helps.
