hello all,

i recently purchased a 2010 Lancer ES with a 2.0, auto cvt 8th vin digit u. i made it about 150 miles in the car and the engine seized. im looking for a replacement junkyard engine and theres not much out there.
i was wondering if anybody on here knew which engines are interchangeable with this one? i planned on using it as a commuter car, so im looking ideally to just remove the engine and install a replacement. the junkyard i called has no interchange info. i am a mechanic by trade so i should be able to handle the swap. any and all info would be appreciated. thank you!

 

4Bx engines, Chrysler World Engine and Hyundai Theta engines were built under the Global Engine Alliance . Can't vouch for their interchangeability but might be worth looking into (for parts)
