Please help! Worried about Engine swap

Hello everyone,

This is my first post, thanks in advance for your patience and support.

Here is the thing... I recently took to an unofficial body shop my Lancer ES CVT for some painting that it needed.

Thing is, I felt the engine a little bit weird after picking up my car. It's MIVEC (Lancer 2014 ES CVT).

I want to verify the engine number, and see if it matches the engine number I have on my documents when I purchased it.

Can you guys help me where in the engine I can check that number? I'm afraid they took advantage of my kinda new card (bought it on february), and might have swapped parts.

Thanks a lot,

Antonio

How long it was in the shop?

P.S. You have to look at he cars those guys drive - if someone has a similar one - they could do that easily((((

Thank you for replying!

It stayed for about 2 days.

I will try and see if I can find the engine number on a document from when I bought the car, and take a look at the plate on the engine. See if they match. I hope it is not to messy to verify the engine number.
