New guy has question on intakes

I am a proud new owner of a 2004 Lancer OZ Rally. My first import car, my first compact, my first 4 cylinder.
I've been browsing Lancer and performance car forums like this one to get an idea on what I can do with my car.
My car is automatic and I want to get a little more performance out of it. I understand that with the autos that Cold air intakes won't fit without major modifying and that I have to go with a Short Ram intake.
I like to go with the AEM or Injen brands of intakes, but I can't find anything for SRIs for automatics in these brands for 2004 Lancers. Do they make them for 2004 automatics or do I have to go with another brand like RRM or wait until AEM or Injen comes out with them?

mine is the first one up there. i think you can do cold air if you relocate the battery to the side.

I can't get a pic of my own engine, but the pic from RoadRaceMotorsports shows what I my engine would look like with a SRI. I suppose I could just go with this RRM kit. The price isn't bad, but I was hoping I had more choice.

I've noticed that each make of intake is a bit different than the other and can't decide what would be best or which one is more than needed. You have ones like RMR and RRM that have the heat shields with RMR also using the factory air scoop in its system. The Bushur one is just a solid pipe, MAS, and no heat shield.

I have the RMR and I really like the way it looks in the engine bay... the heatshield just looks so purdy to me!

However, if you really want to get one that isn't made quite yet, you could always opt for a drop in filter for the time being... then just prop your box open some by not locking the clips that hold it closed and you will still get some of growling sound at 3k+ rpms just like the rest!!

Okee dokee, I settled it and paid a good buck for it too. I went to a performance auto store and they hooked me up and ordered an Injen short ram for me. I guess they do make them and found a pic of one. Not cheap. $200. The one I ordered supposedly comes with a heatshield.
