Again, HK is correct.

The 4g64 began its life in the 2g Galant and Eclipse spyder. Then, it was turn around to fit into the 3g eclipse/galant (T-belt).

Then, it begs some Q:

1) Look at the link of this sypder. This 4g64 has a distributor, but the 3g's motor has DIS.

http://4g64.150m.com/curtspyder.html

2) Look at the tach. It goes up to 6500 redline, but I have seen the 3g Galant hitting redline at 6K. Is the ecu the same between the galant and the eclipse (never seen the tach, except on the GT model w/ different engine) in performance?

3) If so, mitsu must have retarded its performance between gen. Then, the stock dyno will reflect such paltry WHP.

It can't be the DIS causing the drop in rpm, because my 1.8L can hit 6500. The stroke argument isn't possible too since the 4g64 between the gen should be the same, unlike mine to the lancer.
