Also can i get some recommendations on furture mods to do? thx!!!

The header is an excellent upgrade if you want more mid and top end horse power. In the lower rpms you might loose a little tq/hp but nothing to complain about, it sounds good too.

i did loose some numbrs in the lower end after the header install...but i also gained a lot on top end...with you current set up you should be able to breeze through 110mph easily depending whether you have an auto or stick

The gain in mid and top end is DEFINATELY worth the barely noticeable loss at low end.

Downpipe, high-flow catalytic converter, bored throttle body, bored intake manifold, cams . . . that's about all she wrote for N/A (or at least all I can think of now).

If you get the header plan you next mod to be the throttle body and intake mani. You'll gain all of you low end back plus still have the top end.

no need for a torque gun...our header is different from other header's i also have done other headers but our is a lot harder becasue of the 14mm nut trapped on the lower left corner...ok i take it back its not hard just more time consuming...

You did put on the header gasket and then reinstall the exhaust gasket between the header and the downpipe yes? I find to help seat the new header on the gasket nicely it is best to start on one of the middle bolts then go one over on either side until they are all tightened. That should give you a nice compression on the gasket. It couldn't hurt to change gaskets depending on your mileage as well. After two winters here in New England my gaskets seemed more rust than anything. Exhaust gaskets are about 7 dollars from a Mitsu dealer, I'm not sure about the header gasket but it can't be much more than twice an exhaust gasket.

Realize also that when installing new parts, they will smoke for a bit as all the manufacturing grime and oil and whatever else is on them burns off due to exhaust heat. My header, downpipe, and exhaust all smoked / emmited a burning smell until all the various foreign material burned off, and now all is fine.

Make sure all the gaskets were put on, the one connected to the engine and the one connected to the down pipe.. so one the bottom and top of the header. I think mine smoked just a little then went away.

Make sure about those gaskets.. I thought when I took my stock exhaust manifold off that the gasket was sitting on the downpipe so I just put my header over it and bolted it up, then went to put my stock one away and they gasket was on there haha. So I had to take the downpipe off again and put the gasket in then close it.

Tourqe for the bolts are 12ft lbs and the two outside are 22ft lbs I believe.

keep us posted on the outcome of this mod. i have a similar setup, and i am debating header or bored throttle body. i really like the sound of my magaflow and don't want it any louder, no matter what improvements it will yield
