How can i increase the gas millage of my 03 lancer es
I installed a short ram intake and an hks exhaust system, im getting about 220 for a full tank of regular gas. Im wondering if theres any other mods that would increase my gas millage?
220 miles sucks for a tank of gas ... I drive my car HARD and I get about 300 easily.
you try different octanes of gas by chance? what kinda driving are you doing .. freeway or around town, stop and go stuff?
really the best way to save gas is to drive like grandma .. dont rev over 3500 rpm's before you shift .. take it easy when taking off from stop lights.

I improved mine by riding my bike to work :P yeah.. I know.. cheap.. but I've gone from filling up every two weeks to filling up every 3 weeks now. HUGE savings since I'm in Cali.. and to think it only cost me 69 bucks for a bike =)
There's no reason to use anything other than 87 in your Lancer unless you're forced induction or high compression. I'm not going to get into another octane discussion because we already have about 2 dozen of them on these forums that could easily be found with a search.
If you want to increase fuel economy, change your driving style first and foremost. Don't stomp. If your car is automatic, reset the ECU and let it relearn its mapping under more relaxed driving conditions. If your car is a 5 speed, don't rev into high RPM's, (again) don't stomp on the gas, and coast (in gear) whenever you can. i.e. you don't keep your foot on the throttle 100% of the time on the highway, because then you're constantly keeping your injectors under some load. You should be getting at very least 250+ miles per tank, whether you're stop and go or highway. Unless you're just idling away fuel for hours a day, the only reasons you should get less are aggressive acceleration and high RPM shifting or your car's about to turn on it's check engine light and it's running in limp mode.
