^^^ What he said. I just went on a road trip and I got 35 miles to the gallon (which is actually the reported highway mileage) and I averaged 75mph. With my normal day to day driving I get just below 300 miles before the gas light comes on. The only mod I have is an axle-back exhaust, which doesn't do d**k for performance.

I just drove to LA from the Bay area... I took I-5 the whole way.. my math says I averaged about 34 mpg.. and from what I could tell that right on. Our lancer has the dream... we only have to make it happen... and like Hobie said... don't rock that pedel... =)

Can't, because something is. Have the dealership check it out. Thats what your warantee is for. (unless you messed something up installing your SRI)

When you put in your SRI, did you ding up the honeycomb in your MAF? Just a thought.

My GF's OZ gets 300+ per tank, closer to 350 on road trips.

I keep mine at 3000 or just under if I'm really trying to watch gas mileage

I drive my car (manual) like I'm racing everywhere (taking it to 5.5-6) when shifting, only have CAI, use 90+ octane (I buy into that crap about it cleaning your engine because a study says it does!) and I get 280-300 miles to a tank, city driving. If you just want good gas miliage and don't care about sacrificing some performance then talk to these people: www.antismog.info They deal with all that hippie crap

its not what RPMS u stay under....its how hard u push the pedal down...

u can have it pushed down a 1/4 of the way and have it rev to 4k(somehow lol) and you'd get better mileage than pushing it down 3/4 way and lifting up to let it shift at 3k.....

the farther down the pedal is pushed, the more the throttlebody is opened, the more fuel that comes out of the injectors.

lightly push down on the pedal, try and keep it below 2.5-3k rpms. it works, i got an extra 30miles on a tank when i did that....but i couldn't stand it and continued on with my raging fury of mashing the gas all the time, haha
