quick question: will the guages cluster from a 02 work on the 03 lancer?

Exclamation quick question: will the guages cluster from a 02 work on the 03 lancer?

they're both O.Z Rally Edition. i want to know whether the odometer from the 02 would work on the 03.

you think the current milage on the new cluster remain the same? or it will reset itself to the current milage of the vehicle?

the mileage on the cluster will stay the same, it will not reset to the new cars mileage.

Yep. Weird that it doesn't get stored in the ecu somewhere.

makes it very easy to fudge it. could you not just sell your 100K lancer for much more by swapping in a cluster that says 20k?

should be possible to reflash... found a site online that does it for $300 but personally I think it would be better to simply have the dealer deal with it when you go to sell the car...that's my conclusion...BTW, thanks to google for digging this old thread up... anybody got any new thoughts on this?
