Is this possible???

My Service Engine Light came on this past Saturday, so I took it by a friends shop and they hooked it to their computer.... and it gave a a cadiclittic coverter code 9o2) erhaps.. whaever the case is its covered so I took by the Mistu dealership and they tied it to their computer... now, only thing is lol, he came back and said wel when your friend tied it to his computer it reset everything... so we need you to bring it back in as soon as it comes back on.. but I was like okay.. but one thing weird has happened, when I tok off the lot the lnacer dind't drive like a lancer anymore.. it seemed to shift alot higher in rpms then it was before.. this it shifts like upper 5's, anyways its alot faster... ermm could they have reset the red points in my lancers computer or you think it may be my imagnatoin?? heh if its the tranny then lol its covered I'll get that fixed while tey are fixing the converter :P Anyways let me know

If your friend hooked a scanner up to the OBD-II port, there isnt anything he could have done to reprogram the rev limits. (At least with a scanner)

hmmm I don't know what they hooked up lol I just let him plug it in and see what code it gave off, and he told me... so I took it by the mitsu. dealership, and they said that nothing could be done because whatever he did cause it to be reset... so whateevr he did my engine light hasn't been on since.. don't kno if thats good or notl ol but I'm waiting for it to be back on (at least hoping for) ermmm but it shifts diffrent :P lol I'm not sure though anyways let me know what you guys think!

The automatic remembers how you drive and adjusts to your style. It must have reset everything when he cleared the CEL. If you drive like a gramma it will go back to the way it was.

really awesome.... lol thats neat :P well is it bad for the engine to shift like that? because when I drive normallly it will shift sem-normally a little higher then usuall... but when like when I want to go somewhere fast it will shift like mad :P I dunno but once I get my speakers in lol I'll have to start driving like a granny hehe
