I was just browsing through TakaKaira Japan.. And I looked under ApexN1... And I saw that they have a muffler for the 4g93 engine.... It wasnt specifically said that it was for the US Lancer 2002 but the engine was a 4g93... So I gues it would fit exactly without mods... And it cost $400+ plus shipping i think....

 

I bet you the cost of that muffler is that the exhaust is made for the 4G93-T from the GSR Lancers. (as in, Baby Evo).

 

Im not sure about that.. And its not for a Lancer, it was fot an FTO... does an FTO have turbos?..

 

FTO = nothing we have here, but close to the 3000GT. Yes turbos, no 4G93.

 

The base model FTO GS does have a 4g93 with a distributor, instead of DIS in the US.

 

That, and wouldn't engine placement and orientation come into play? Because, isn't the 4G93 flipped? May be a stupid question, but, thought I'd ask anyway...

 

The FTO is nothing close to a GTO/3000GT at all. It was more of an Eclipse sized vehicle. All of them were factory FF NA, with the top model having a 2.0L DOHC MIVEC V6. It was cancelled along with the GTO around '99-2000. Anyway, the combination of the reverse engine, different chassis from the U.S. Lancer would make this exhaust impossible to fit.
