RRM Clutches

I'm a little confused about the difference between the stage 1 and the stage 2 RRM clutches? Is the stage 1 any better than stock or is it meant to be like a direct replacement?

Just wondering as a general rule. Will the stage 2 clutch allow a NA to Launch at a higher rpm? or does that not really matter except for the durability of the clutch?

So Is it a bad idea to get a stage 2 clutch if you dont have turbo yet?? But plan in the future to get it.

I talked to someone over at road race on the phone before getting my stage 2 (I have no plans of getting a turbo) and they said stage 2 was desgned for a car with 200+ hp but it would be fine for a car with less. Stage 1 is designed for a car with 200 or less hp so NA or low boost applications. So basicly both are fine for a 200 hp or less car but stage 2 is best for 200+. I love my stage 2 clutch and pressure plate it gives the pedal a much more positive feel and lightning fast engagement I have also noticed that it doesn't seem to "fade" once the car is hot like after a good spirited run, like my stock clutch would. I am way below 200 hp I would say more like 130 or 140 seeing as I only have a AEM CAI, RRM bored throttle body, Magnflow catback, and plugwires. I say stage 2 if it is in your budget is the way to go!!

Need to clear it up a little. Stage 2 will handle 200+ h.p. Simply put, if you want more clamping power than stock or close to stock, go with stage 2. If your driving style means you launch your car a lot, go STAGE 2. If you are nice to your car and want something or need someting a little stronger than stock, STAGE 1.

what exactly does 200+hp mean? 201, 202, 203 or 200-300 or what? you talking about chp or whp? you say that your stg2 turbo kit puts out 23#whp and so would this clutch be able to handle that?
