How can i make my new '04 Lancer run like or better than an Evo 8 for under $8000 please answer i really need this help

u bought a 04 and u still have 8g's? why didnt u just get a used evo...?

anyway, there is a way u can hang with stock and lightly modified evo's.

Turbo, thats the only way. if i had 8 g's...id go RRM stage 2 turbo, AEM EMS, 2.5 or 3 inch custom catback. upgrade the tires, suspension...ummm borred fuel rail, fpr, fuel pump, bigger injectors, Port and polish, borred intakemanifold and throttlebody...

all that should run u a good 8 grand or more...ull be in the mid to low 13's i beileve and be hangin or smoking stock or lightly modded evo's...

yeah, could have drag times about the same, but other than that he'd get wupped so bad in the corners it'd be sad

 

New cam and tuning will also help get you to speed with a stock Evo. As for cornering, good luck.

 

you wouldnt do rrm stg2, aem ems, and more injectors, that would be repeating yourself. it would be better to go with the aem ems bc it can control timins as well as fuel, which the rrm piggy cannot. also you wouldnt be in the low to mid 13s, you would be in the mid 12s if you could get traction.
