those blk things behind the front bmpr

I found out through my body shop that those black things are actually front weights...not 5mph impact rollers or anything like that. The weight of each is around 20lbs. so removing them would lighten your load 40lbs!! Question is what the hell are they there for??? Didn't know we needed extra weight up front??!!

yes some people have removed them... wheather its a good or bad idea... i couldn't tell ya... theres other posts about it around here...

In this long debacle you can see it spelled out about 4 times...even by people who may not have known what they are 'til they read it. Not to harp your body man but if it was just a weight, I doubt they would've suspended it like they would. There is play when you push on them.

i'm a tech for mitsu and there to absorb vibration through the drive train making a smoother excel. there vibration dampners. remove them if you want to.

they only weight 11 lbs each, 22 lbs total. there was a post a while ago about this. I yanked mine off and have never noticed a differance

i dont have them if you plan opn gettin a rrm turbo with intercooler youll loose em anyway obviously they arent for ir bags because there ar eno sensor wires or anything to tell the air bags to go off

acualy that vibration thing sounds the most logical
because they would osilate under movement making a sort of counter weights
