Tail lights from RRM
Hey, I just got some new tail lights from RRM. They are the Gunmetal ones. I just have to say that they look hot on a Thunder Grey Lancer.
However, I have had them for a week now and today was the first day of some real rain and it looks like the lights are fogging up from the inside. The other problem I am having with them is that the out side corners are moving around a little ( they do not sit perfectly in the frame.) I just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem or is it just me???
I love the RRM product it looks great and they always gave good service, its just that I got a little concerned went they things started fogging up on me.
If someone has some addvice for me I would appreciate it

So...contact Road Race. See what they have to say. Maybe they can be exchanged or maybe they'll tell you to deal with TYC or Depot or whoever made them....but nobody here is going to be able to help you like Road Race or the manufacturer.

I had the same problem with my chrome ones. Nothing drastic, just a little moisture. You can't really tell at all unless you know its there and are looking for it. But it didn't happen until this past summer, about a year after i got them.
Best bet would be to seal em as soon as you buy em. They had this on Sport Compact TV of all places. They recommended just putting a little bit of extra silicone around the perimeter just to make sure everything stays fine.
Finally someone else had a problem I got the carbon fiber ones as soon as they came out and the first real rain they fogged up on the inside. I love rrm too, so I was a little disappointed, but I am happy with everything else I have bought from them so no real complant here just wish they didn't leak... If I wait till they completely dry can I silicone them?
Yeah, Wait til they're completely dry and silicone them. But remember, don't reinstall them back on the car for another couple of hours to let the silicone completely dry. Make sure the area you let it dry in is not very humid. It will lengthen the dry time.
yeh i got some rrm gm tails too NO fitment problems and we just had a bunch of rain real bad here and I have no leaks and no fogging at all. Call up RRM see what they can do for you
Peace

NOTE TO EVERYONE!!!! IN ORDER TO PROPERLY CLEAR UP THIS PROBLEM WITH CONDENSATION INSIDE YOUR TAILLIGHT HOUSINGS DO THIS:
1) Remove the tails
2) Bring them inside a nice dry area in your house
3) clean the lenses and remove all wiring, bulbs, and clips from the backing
4) Preheat your oven to 350 and then place in for 6 minutes
5) Remove and allow to defog
6) When cooled down, seal them with clear windshield sealer (can be found at any auto store)
7) Allow 6-8 hrs for sealent to dry
8) Reassemble and enjoy
Here's the reason for needing to do this. If you just seal them then the water that has accumulated in there will still be in there. So in order to clear up the housing of he light you have to evaporate the water in there. We had to do this on my friends gsx when he had the same problem.
