I was wondering if anyone on the forums has built an alcohol blown motor for serious drag racing. If so what was your setup?

I'm getting ready to build a strip car and was exploring the possibilities

 

If they do it's proooobably not on a US Lancer.

EDIT: Your first priority should be rebuilding your engine's internals assuming you're using the Lancer.

 

Alcohol fueled! Mmmmm...volatile. Are there any 4 bangers getting such treatment? Last time I remember, only the big 6's and 8's were being shot with that.

 

I have freinds how race VW depending on the event the switch from gas to alco you have to run huge idle and main jets if you run carbs and alco so I would think the same would be true to injectors and fuel pressure it would run realy cool afert that and suck fuel like a 5$ hor and you could run big compresion ratiosworks good on turbos also

i can't see anyone turning the lancer into a strip car without doing some MAJOR overhauling to the entire car

 

It's a waste of time. You want to make your car into a competition machine, start working on the suspension, and get an SCCA membership.
