I could be wrong, but I think Andrew started this kit before the RRM kit was really done. It was before I got here and I think I came on only a bit after RRM announced their first turbo kit. And at the time, I think he also had help from a tuner shop who has since gone under. Aside from that, I do know this kit was probably capable of much more than the RRM kit, albeit not quite as plug-and-play as the RRM kit is supposed to be.

Nah, RRM had their kit out for a while after the monster project started (the turbo piggyback wasn't completed yet, if anything). The answer to why not the RRM kit is simple - turbo manifold, bigger turbo, true engine management. Andrew made a better kit.

Read my older posts if you really want to know. Bottom line is, I didn't like the kit for what I wanted. It isn't and wasn't for me.

Trust me, the setup on the whole was never pretty as far as looks go. On paper maybe. Nonetheless I can't begin to say how much this pisses me off and further stomps on my hopes and dreams with this ****ing car.
