Only difference between es and oz suspension is the perch but that can easily be changed on the es to fit the coilovers kits for the oz.

yes but the strut assembly will fit on the es alls you have to change to fit on the es is the perches. So its all gravy. As far as me I had my options with purchasing a car I chose the es cuz I got it mad cheap we are talking just under 13 grand with like 20 miles on it. Pretty dam good for me.

i dont think roadrace sells the perches for the tein coilovers. They sell the perches for the rear sway bar from progress. For someone like myself who has an ES with the tein coilovers I think you need to call the dealership and tell them you need the upper strut mounts from a 02-03 OZ.

Apparently the ES upper strut mounts were just a little too small to fit the top of the tein strut, but the OZ fit perfect from what I've heard. The rear struts go in fine with no modification or part swapping.

Just a side not that I didn't see anyone mention is that the bolt patterns on the wheels are different. Meaning the rims that will fit an OZ WILL NOT fit an ES or vice versa.

The bolt pattern for the ES is 100 x 4 and for the OZ i think its 114 x 4 (correct me if I'm wrong) So certain things like rims and brake rotors that are made for the OZ won't fit the ES.

Just keep this in mind and ask if you ever buy brakes or rims from another member on this site or from ebay that they dont have an OZ otherwise they wont fit.

well, perches and a rear sway bar.

The OZ came with rear sway bar to help the car handle better during turns, but the thing is ridiculously small and a normal person can probably bend it if they pulled hard enough.

Most everyone ends up upgrading to the rear sway bar and perches that roadrace motorsports sells because its alot stronger and works a lot better than the one that comes stock. ES models dont even get one stock only the OZ, but since everyone usually get the better one from roadrace its not a big problem.

So basically, if you want to change an ES suspension to an OZ (or the closest equivolant) then buy a thicker rear sway bar and perches and you'll be better than a stock OZ.
