OK I split the thread. Put all the discussions, flames, etc. on this one, and left the other one the way it was meant to be. Please respect that, or I'll just trash 'em. I agree with Tonloc that that noob was posting a questionable time, but make the discussion, flames, challenges, etc. here, and let the other thread be what it was meant for.

Oh, and I'm ok with having a 17 second Lancer, because it is currently considered the best handling one in the US, which is what I wanted. I respect gearheads that can make an engine faster, I'm just not one of them. I make the car go around a corner faster.

Brian- You'll be a happy second once I get my camber plates installed Bwa ha ha ha ha Of course I'll tell you who makes 'em, where to buy and how much (less than $200?!) just as soon as I get them and ensure fitment

Next project: head porting and valve lapping

I already got the info, at least about the Cusco ones. But that was already after I decided to stop modding my Lancer and hop into someone else's race car until I can afford a real race car. Belive me, when I go back to stock (save for the catback... maybe) your car will handle much better than mine

Sorry to hear you're dropping out of the game. That's really a shame. But good luck co-driving and let us know what you get for your real ride (I'd vote you rep Mitsu and get an Evo... but then I don't know that I'd get another Mitsu right now if I had to buy another car )

And the plates are from Tein. . . . . I'm hoping they fit

Don't tell anyone but I think I'd like to get into SCCA Club racing, Spec 7 (1st gen Mazda RX7) Improved Touring (like a mark 1 VW Golf) or Formula Vee (VW powered formula cars). You know, a REAL race car.

Those formula V cars are sweet... If not driving around with the usual pitfalls of being a VW (had lots of missed runs/races this year with the FV in my club- mostly clutch, some engine trouble). Good times, though

Urban I take dibs on the ECU if you decide to sell it.
That raised redline would be nice. I wish we could get one of the EVO guys to give us a redline flash only.

So given that this thread has become dedicated to:

1) secondhand arguing
2) talking about Urban going back to stock

should we just start a new thread? Or kill them both and start one that's actually on point?

The point of the thread is:

1) not searching the timeslip area for who is NA vs. turbo
2) not everyone posts times in the timeslip thread

Basically it's like the dyno thread in Engine - one easy place to find everything you need and compare.

Can I start a thread like Rhyzin's? A comprehensive one-thread-to-end-them-all kinda deal? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=67825

thats about right, this has just turned into an offtopic ontopic thread.

intersting to know tho, is that there are a lot of australian lancers in the low low 15s NA, you guys need to pass them.

get RPW cams, a headgasket to raise the compression ration, twin throttle body with greddy emanage to control it.
