Boy do i love doing that..not to be an ******* or anything..lol. Anyways, people from the VW forums were bashing on the lancer so my buddy told me about it. Also still can't figure out why people place the Spec V over the RA the Spec V does have LSD but I don't think that alone makes it better.

I love it when people dog on other cars ... you will never conivince some people. Its not even worth trying. Its like arguing whats a better bread, white or wheat? What about rye bread or sourdough? What about .... yeah you get the point. Just pointless to dog on a different car model IMHO.

My thought = as long as a car has potential, its a fun car and the individual owner likes it .. thats all that counts.

Me personally - I travel ALOT for work .. and have had probably 15 different rental cars since the first of this year - I'd take my 03 lancer over all of them ANY day. Why? Because I like my car and think its fun to drive. No I will never hit 12 seconds in a 1/4 mile. No I will never win an autocross race. No, my car will never be rallied and win a series. No, my car will never win a car show. But who gives a crap!?!? I like my car cause its fun to drive, suits my personality, handles well and gets good MPG. Nuff said. :P Plus it has a sexy ***.

yup, most of these people have never even driven the car or even took time to look at it. These people are usually narrow minded and give something one look and make a final judgement on it. sad if u ask me, cause they are just missing out

 

I'm not even worry about any VW owners if they don't have the gti or VR6 motor.

Nice driving by the way. I'm really impressed since you are in an automatic and I am sure it has to be harder to keep the engine in the optimum rpm range you desire around the course.

people just dont understand what its like having lancer in the blood. dude, and for someone to say that lancers are wimpy,maybe they arent high in the horsepower region, but last time i checked, the VW Beetle wasnt throwin out big numbers either...

It's funny how they mention that the Ralliarts tires were inferior to the SPEC V's, but they dog the lancer on it's limits caused by these same tires.

Also, How can a car rated Lower in HP AND TQ measure higher numbers on the DYNO?

hahaha im sorry but i can't take a guy with a bettle seriously. saying that the lancer community doesn't have performance upgrades is like saying **** doesn't stink and vw's arn't over engineered what a bunch of morons, and you can tell em i said it

 

oh and since we all know there are no parts made for lancers, i just want to confirm with everyone that the parts in my signature are make beleive parts that i WISH they made for our cars.

 

if you read it carefully, youll notice that hes talking about the fact that the OZ has nothing to differentiate it from the other models (such as performance) besides different body parts.

Kinda off topic but I read in a magazine that the RA actually performed better than the spec v, I think it was car and driver or something. it had the actual dyno sheets in which the RA HP came in 142hp and spec v came in 147hp considering that nissan claims that the spec v has 175hp and mitsu RA has 160hp. I love my lancer and been thinking of trading it but people like bobaab and people with kicka** turbos prove me wrong about having a slow or un-tuneable car Im eventually going to turbo the car and kick some jetta a**.

 

First off, I can't believe someone in there said that the Impreza RS will outperform a Ralliart. Wow, just, wow.

For the most part, it's just your typical car bashing without actually having driven one. That magazine article was HARSH. Yes, the Ralliart understeers like a ****, but get rid of that (tires + tiebar) and learn to make the most of the short gearbox (you don't need an LSD, you just need to learn to launch properly without it), and it becomes one of the best cars for the money.
