I had an 01 passat 1.8t. it was very nice....but not nearly as fun as my lancer. they make a lot of parts for vw's, but not as many as they do for the lancer. i've noticed that audi and vw guys have a chip on their shoulder because they have german engineered cars. there's nothing wrong with vw's and audi's, except for the price. a "sports sedan" that is more than twice the price of our lancer's, with a whopping 170hp and weigh 1000lbs more than ours. i would rather have 2 lancers than 1 a4, or a ralliart that's lighter and (on paper) almost as fast and about $10g's to spend on mods.

 

Even though my lancer is in the shop right now, I still love it with a passion. I love screaming down the highway in it < even though it cuts out at 110mph> The best thing is all these little civics that try to keep up whith u and u pass em around a corner that they cant handle at your speeds due to their inferior suspension. What the Lancer loses for HP it gets it back in handling.

im a big fan of VW but good god, just cuz your on a fourm made for a certian type of car doesnt give you the right to assume about other cars performance

Notice the frequency of the posts.. About a full day consisting of nearly 20 bashing posts before yours, and NONE after yours. that was back on Dec. 2..

You've earned the respect (and even greater respect) of everyone reading this on EvoM and that VW forum for the lancer.
