I got the road race test pipe as a gift and I would like to install it. When is the best time to do it. It is 30 degrees outside. I dont mind the cold. Should the exhaust be partially warm or it really doesn't matter ????
probably better to do when the exhaust is cold.
I installed mine 2.5 years ago when it was about 30 degrees outside, it was pretty hard to do, but I didn't have the problem that most have (1 of the nuts sticking) I think it was because my car was still almost new.
I pulled mine up on ramps, and just climbed under.

I really didnt know that you could get that much of a performance difference out of an item that isnt all that expensive. This is something that I may be interested in purchasing. But I was wondering how bad is this "SMELL" and how much louder is it with a magnaflow catback system? Keep in mind that any kind of catalitic converter modification and exhaust modification what-so-ever is illegal in VA(but I don't care... i'm going away out of state to college in the summer anyways). They even wont let you put on a high-flow cat. So thats why I need to know if it is a lot louder.
O.K. thanks for the information. I knew it was going to be louder but I wasnt expecting that loud. I think that I will keep the stock one for now. I dont feel like paying a TON of money for this fine. Thanks for saving me before I did something stupid. Really appreciate it guys!!!!!
