K strut bar problem! I think i F***ed up

I just got my front k bar and though i would put it in really quick before i go to bed. I had alitle trouble getting it on but i magaged to do it with minumal pounding. I got it on all flush within a few minutes. Looking at the car i put on the left front nut (not very tight this time) then i go to the right back nut goes on but it keeps spinning it wont tighten. So im like **** so i try the left back nut same thing. Then i try the right front bolt and the nut goes on just fine i can go tight as i can. So the front bolts are fine the back ones keep turning. Crap can someone help me!

your nut is not aligned completely, your spinning but its not grabbing. happened to me. i had to lift it up more from other side to align it right.

sounds like they're not lining up or you stripped the bolts when you pounded it on

you'll need to rethread the bolts, or if they're really bad, they'll need to be replaced

oh yea did i mention the nut tightens a very little bit then i loosens. And the process goes on. I took off the bar to see what was going on and the nut is fine but the bolt could have been flatened on one side but it loos like i could still put it on.

it looks like the strut bar scarped down the bolt to flaten one side but not totally it still has thread on it and it only a small part of the bolt.

is it from RRM? if so, give them a call. Rock and all of them are great people and will have some pointers. You will most likely benefit from an extra set of hands by the way, no matter what. Fianlly, are the bolts stripped or does it just seem like its spinning. I know I thought I stripped mine, but it wasn't the case because those little nuts need to go on perfectly centered. If they are not 100% dead on, then they just spin. If they are spinning, find a way to keep them centered and it will go on nicely.

you might have stripped the nut, which isn't bad or expensive. If its the bolt, then you are going to get a headache. If its not either or those, which it sounds like it is, then I don't know what to say.
