I'll be very interested to see how this goes. Good luck!

If you don't have a digital camera, get one. We gotta see this.

Question - I'm not trying to be rude or hate or anything. I just was wondering - but for 210hp, why not just get a turbo kit on your 4G94? Just more faith in the 4G63 block, or just wanting to be different?

Oh boy, it has been explained to death here (more detail) and the mirage board (glad we broke those habits long ago). Well, it's his money.

Because he could beef up the 4G63 even more and get way more than 210 hp???
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can bore a 4G63 out more and it accepts more boost safely.

i was told i could get more horsepower out of the 4g63 then if i just turbo my engine right now

the second option was swapping for an evo engine but the cheapest one i found was 4500 cdn

OK. Makes sense. I was just wondering. You should also look into swapping for a Ralliart engine (the 4G69, as mentioned above) and then turboing that. The MIVEC and turbo would be a fun combo!

Agree ^
A ralliart swap would be the easiest. Turbo that and you would be well over 210.
Have fun with your swap though. I wanna see pics!!

DSM swaps have NEVER been done properly, except Extreme Racing Drag Mirage. The latter just gave up late in the pro import drag season and unretired the Talon. The cost can be staggering like doing an Evo 4-8 swap. From 97 to now, NO ONE has done it . . . there is precedence. Otherwise, we should have seen tons of 302 'stang motor in Miata's roaming and terrorizing street racers and tracks.

I'm just trying to save the guy's heart and money aches.
