we had a replacment mechanic at my job and he would work on some guys brakes for like 7 hours then realize he doesnt know how to fix it... thats probably the case with his car lol except it took him a lot longer to realize it

 

this thread is broken into two categories:The pissed off people that have been here since the thread opened; we get the notifications of reply"2004 lancer es engine swap" and go back even though we all know no progress has been made. Then there are the new combers who have not gone through 4 months of frantic reply checking, who actually feel bad for the guy. actually we all are probably going through way more stress hawking this thread than the guy who started it sitting at home getting his kicks by replying every couple weeks with a " hey guys sorry i havent had updates i have pics on my phone but i cant send them, but you can check out so and so's website and look at the car..... a week from friday. We're still waiting for friday.

well hes been on since his last post so i guess no new news

 

So...where is this car supposed to be at? A PepBoys garage or an actual tuning shop doing the swap? There is this place by my house that is pretty popular with doing great engine work. Here is the link. http://www.livernoismotorsports.com I've heard of people going up there and they have done some crazy swaps with cars. A guy by me has a LS1 corvette motor in his Miata that they did for him.. Took them only a few days. In the meanwhile, while we wait for some news on the swap update, check out "Mike's 2000 Twin Turbo Corvette" on the customers rides page. It has a stage 3 turbo.. OH MY GOD.. I saw that thing driving by my work the other day. All I have to say is.. HOLY CRAP. I could hear the blow off valve(s) from like 300yrds away. lol. Its fast.

 

they are probalbly trying to figure how they are going to make the car into an all wheel drive

 

will the rear transfer case even bolt on without doing anything to the floor panel?

 

I think with AWD, they will have to re-route the exhast system to fit around the drive shaft and different rear end.. am I correct? Looks like he would also have to have the entire rear axle, and entire front axle to make it work.. that is some serious cash.

 

I dont even think hes going for AWD. Just engine swap on FF. Wonder what happened to this guy..

pics? LOL yah rite. people have been asking for pics every week at least. but yah the guy likes to come up with excuses to why he doesnt have pics.

 

He never posted any.. I wouldnt mind even just 1 shot of the engine in his car. Shouldnt be hard.. just go to the shop, ask to see the car, snap a shot, go home and post on evom, ya know?
