i'm tired of my lancer... plz advise
its a car...they all depreciate. get over it. i agree with trading it in and getting something you like better. did you think it was gonna be fast when you bought it??? all it is is an econobox that is fun to mod, and like others have stated^ is different than all the honda's we see driving around.

reason why mitsu cars has bigger depreciation then honda and toyota because the mitsu has more rebates and better APR better then the others....if u put two n two together...it comes up the same....
the 99 honda accord 4dr ex VS 99 Galant GTZ, the honda has a better trade in value by 800 bucks...which is not much...but u look overall...its about the same
and please do not tell me i am wrong...i am in the business

you will miss your lancer when its gone. my friend ran into my car so its been in the shop for like 3 1/2 weeks. right now i'm driving my aunts jaguar s-type(supercharged v-8!!!!!!!!!! 390hp!!!!!!!) and i still miss my car.
Every car will depreciate fast in the first two years. Honda, Toyo, and lesser entent certain Nissans hold their value either from public perception of quality, supply and demand, and rebates (the more rebates = lesser values in the long run). In a 5 year deal, you have to stay at least 3.5-4 yrs to break even or right side up.
Look how Accord and Camry hold their value comparing to Tauras which has fleet sales.
The only exception to Mitsu's lesser cars was the Mirage LS coupe. Mitsu sold so few of them that it was literally a rarity. A 99 held its retail value in the high 6K until this year tanking just below 5K in price. There are some dealerships wanting to rape consumers asking +5.5K grand.
The mirage sedans and all those 1.5 liters just bottomed out now like a yugo on a fire sale.

About leaving the country, a friend of mine had a roommate. He inherited mad amounts of cash from a relative. The IRS gave him a notice on the inheritance tax. It scared him so much that he left the country to the country that he was born. He had left +80% of all his belong ing to my friend and high tailed it.

It might be time to reunite myself with a DE and try to swap in one of the Ralliart engines. That would be a hybrid.
