It's alive, once again..
Well, I finally got the engine running after blowing it up with the RRM non i/c kit set to 5psi.
Anywayz.. I wanted to post a question concerng what to do now interms of making sure the car is perfectly fine. Should i take it to a shop and have them diagnose it? Are there any precautions to take before beginning to break it in? Let me know what you guys thanks
Lastly i just want to say thanks to Boe, PGmike, Urbanknight, and spydervenm. For all the help and advice.

Nice to see you are back up and running again. Did you rebuild with forged pistons and rods, or did you just get a new stock engine? Break it in the same way you would a new car. No high revs for the first 500 miles, then oil change, a little higher on the revs for the next 2500 miles, oil change, then good to go.
Since most have not had problems with their turbo kits, what do you think the problem could have been? Boost spike due to vacuum line coming off? Faulty piston from factory? Overheating?

yup just forged JE's had to buy replacement valves for the head.. mitsu charges around 25 dollars per valve.. can you believe that.. anywayz.. i got away with no real major head/cylinder work. i just had the head refurbished by a friends, had him put on new valves.. dropped new pistons had them pressed by a shop.. and that's it. did it all with the engine in the car.
How long til you think you will get yours running again pgmike?

i started taking it apart slowly this weekend but have yet to order the pistons and rods bc im not paying 600 for pistons and 700 for rods. so i really dont know the extent of the damage, so i may find that i also have to buy new valves. i also am upgrading a lot of thiings at teh same time that will take a good amoutn of time too.
