Since you are experienced in fabricating and selling strutbars, I have been wanting to buy a sparco harness bar put in my car to be able to have my 4 point harnesses attached to it. I am suggesting that you could make them and I'm pretty sure lot of evo and lancer guys would want to get one from you instead of paying around $500 for a sparco version.

Let me know what you think
Mike

hmm, that may not be a bad idea. wouldn't that also stiffen the chassis by connecting the left and right via the harness bar?

I talked to him about this and he said no, too much of a liability if something were to fail

PDXRalliart, why dont you look up the original sparco harness bar, and replicate the same measurments and locations of where to bolt on. I m sure it would function same as the original one.

If we brought it, we would be liable for ourselves for having one instead of you being liable? is that correct?

yes it would stiffen the chassis a lot, plus people can at least sit in the back without having the 4 point harness in the way anymore.

Well, Sparco I'm sure did some kind of testing on their parts, that ups the price. They need to cover R&D.

Its not just a liability issue, if anyone got killed because my parts failed, I would NEVER be able to forgive myself, and I am sure your loved ones would never forgive me either.

The last thing anyone should consider going the inexpensive route on is safety equipment. Your best bet is to stick with a company that has spent the time & money on R&D and safety testing. I can't afford it just yet.

I appreciate the suggestion and confidence in me.

Thanks.
