I was throwing this idea around with some of the other members and thought it would be a good idea to make either a special section in the forum or a sticky thread in one of the forum sections where people can post specific questions to the veteren members on the board. The reason is sometimes a topic does not fit into Troubleshooting or Tech specifically, and the pros don't browse General as much as may be needed. This leaves some questions open.
Some stipulations would need to be enforced (searching before posting, topic must not fall under another topic, etc).

I think this would be an excellent idea except for those people who just come on the board and post like a mo (with out searching). It would just be another black hole of posts that needs to be cleaned out ever other day or so. But with the right set of rules; i think it could work.

Like this silly Q.
03RL,
ADMs and MODs have already done it, but those timeless Q's always pop up. Amongst the mirage guys, we have almost killed all those Q's. Yes, we do "tar and feathering" sessions for not searching.

Well maybe along with it someone could write up a FAQ like they have on the DSM forums (which I frequent since I want to get a DSM). A few people would have to volunteer and write them up, maybe that along with this proposed section would help take this forum to the next level and get rid of most of the newbie Q&A.
EDIT: Well, I'll just start a FAQ right now and maybe someone will jump on and help me out. I have a really good idea on how to find topics too: Search for posts that say "search" in them.
EDIT: Attached FAQ outline. Please PM me with comments to keep this thread on topic. Thanks.
