sounds really good, I have the greddy one, they both sound pretty similar, nice and deep, not obnoxious, mine might be a little quieter, but i never really get to hear it outside of my car.

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to mention that I recorded it with my pocket pc (HP iPAQ 2215) with the gain 1/2 way up, level with the exhaust about 3 feet away at a 45 degree angle. That is just about how the cops are supposed to measure the loudness of your exhaust to give you a noise ordinance ticket. I read it in Super Street mag. The cops have you rev up to 3k RPM's and hold it.. if it reads out over 100dB then I guess you get a ticket. Mine is no where near that. Somewhere around 60dB to 70dB.. not sure though. The noise ordinance may vary by state.

I ordered my header from RRM today. I'll have it on by the end of next week and post some more clips to let everyone know how it sounds (and performs). Maybe I might even post some short video clips if I get my camera back from repairs.. =/

any news on that header yet? i cant wait to hear it if you post clips again, that exhaust sounded sweet, prolly sound even better w/ the header, and not to mention perform a ton better, also a tip for you or anyone w/ a sri: MAKE SURE you either fabricate or use some kind of air duct from the bottom of your bumper to the filter, the car litterally feels 2 times as fast. i used to have a cai but it kept getting soaked w/ water when it rained, so i converted to short ram and i'm very dissapointed w/ the performance. my next mod: making a good looking, heat sheild & tube from the bottom of my bumper where there is cold air to my hot sweaty filter thats sitting right next to my headers.

Ok guys.. I got my header and its installed. It makes the exhaust like... umm.. 3x as loud lol. When I really get on it, it makes that raspy noise like you hear when a car from the fast and the furious shifts into 2nd.. haha. Some may consider it a little ricey, but it still has a deep deep sound to it when you aren't mashing the gas pedal. The raspy noise occurs when I hit the gas hard at about 2400-3600rpms. Before that and after those RPM ranges, it just sounds like a wide open race car. I'll post pix of the header installed and make some sound clips by the end of today. They will hopefully be up in a few hours.

Ya.. those bolts are a little rusted. I can't replace the studs I don't think because they are built into the engine. Maybe I'll go try to find some new ones or get some heat resistant paint to touch them up with.

Good thing is with a turbo you really dont have to worry about sounding high pitched or "ricey" because after the exhaust passes through the turbo it muffles it and makes it sound deeper. So pretty much whatever exhaust system you get it will sound deep and not real raspy.
