I'm having someone put a lightweight dash, center console, door panels .....basically anything plastic and metal in the car cabin is going to be replaced with a lightweight foam covered with tweed and aluminum rails. I'm not sure of the total weight of the stock piecesa but I know its alot because I had it out before. I know its hard to picture what it looks like so we might just have to wait until its done and I can post pictures and weight savings. He is going to do any color tweed I want and try to keep the stock design the best he can. This will improve acceleration, braking, conering and give a better power to weight ratio. Our car weighs more than alot of cars our size so I'm hoping to drop a little weight for the summer. I'm just trying to see if anyone is interested so he would be able to make a few kits. Not sure on how many or with what price yet. He's going to give me a quote in a couple days. I will keep you updated. I think the evo has the same interior and same size so it will go to them as well. The amount he makes depends on the amount of feedback so start voting. I will post pictures as soon as he's done. The price shouldnt be too bad but it all depends on how detailed he gets and the price of supplies.

um yeah who pmed you and cussed u out??? that is rediculous.... definately not me... i can tell u how much the door panel ways i have them off my car right now.... lol.. they dont way much at all... both under ten pounds... im not talking **** im just saying this is rediculous to me... if u want weight reduction get a cf hood or trunk ...if our interior was to heavy then it would be worth it.. but man to fabricate this stuff would cost too much. thats all..

lol I don't think those interior stuff weigh anything at all. Maybe 2lbs? I don't think its worth it. The only way you'll save lbs is you only leave the steering and the pedals. Remove the carpet, and the passenger seats... But are you gona make foam out of the passenger seat?

How does your dash and door panel make your car slower?!? How stupid. How much hp will you get out of a lightweight dash/door panel?....10 horses Waste of money and time.

I'd rather spent my money of products that will actually help performance/suspension and/or actually help in weigh loss like a CF hood or trunk.
