POLL: Recaro seats in USDM EVO7
POLL: Recaro seats in USDM EVO7
POLL: If you were given an option to oversize the Recaro seats found stock on the EVO7, would you say...
1) give me the tight stock ones because it gives me more feedback!
OR
2) give me a larger seat because the stockers will be too uncomfortable for my larger frame!
Not that many of us have had the opportunity to sit in a JDM EVO7 but I was just curious and hoping to assist any
R&D staff here.
Incidentally I vote for option 1

1 works for me. I also wouldn't mind a different Recaro seat with side air bags.
If we're doing polls for Mitsubishi R&D staff, how about a poll for whether we'd pay more for the car if it had ACD and AYC, i.e. more than $30K. I definitely would.

#1, of course -- too fat for an evo? Go buy a continental, thunder thighs.
As long as the price increase for an ACD at purchase wasn't much greater than installing it afterwards, of course I'd pay for it. It should at the very least be an option.
I just wish we had a good way of actually making Mitsubishi listen to our sense. I get the feeling they hardly have a clue what the american market wants. 'Oh, look, the lancer oz rally sold 67% more than expected. Americans must want flashy garbage!'

i have an e6 tme. one of my major concerns was my wife's large ****. its fckin enormous (size 24+) - would it fit between the seat sides without pinching? So being a kind considerate husband i got her to sit in one before i bought it to check. OK she says although she hated the car otherwise (and still does).
We have since been for long ish drives (4 hours) and no problems.

i think i'm a pretty typical american, at 6' 180 lbs, and I'll go with the original seats.
this country really starts getting hefty around middle age, when it gets hard to find anybody that doesn't have a spare tire, and i dont think thats the market
is going for.

The Stock seats are great! Keep you were you want to be and after a while they do loosen up a bit and kinda form to your ****. I noticed the other day when i was to drunk to drive
and my wife drove that the passenger seat was a hell of a lot tighter than the drivers side(first time as a passenger). Then when I sobered up the next day I went out and tested both and the drivers side was broke in perfect for my frame. If you are really big or have really big friends they'll probably just say something like damn these seats are tight!
