RRM throttle body problem
Ok I went and installed my bored out throttle body today and everything seemed to go fine and dandy, except for getting covered in coolant. When I started the car though, it was idling at like 1500-2000 RPM and there was a knocking type sound coming from the engine bay. Anyone know what this could be? The car didn't through a CEL or anything so its obviously not a catastrophic engine problem or anything.
ummm, if you can, check the opening inside the throttle make sure it opens and closes correct. Next check the tightness on the throttle cable..... if its too tight try and loosen it up some.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its not the cable, since theres still some slack in it like stock, and before I installed it, I spent the day playing with the butterfly valve.

K I solved the problem, never trust your siblings. My sister was helping me out (she's 23) but she didn't properly tighten a bolt, thus I had a leak. You also need to adjust the idle screw on top of the throttle body, right now I'm idling perfectly, at like 600 rpm.
hmmm.... well I tried the idle screw and nothing...I know everything it tight and hooked up right...but what would explain me burning up my spark plugs??? are they cause they are the cheap ngk standard ones? I think the cost like 1.59 a piece???
33,000 and I got RRM header, catback, ported intake mani and throttle body, a grounding kit and rrm piggy back (auto)......I just drove it a little while it has been off for 3 days and it started up at a low idle so I drove it about 3 miles and the idle was a little loopy when I took my foot of the gas, but it drove fine....but my idle slowly rose...so I got home and turned it off and then turned it back on and my idle was up to 2k again....so I adjusted the flat head screw both ways and nothing changed.....by the way my engine was really hot, but temp was normal...I tried to pull off my 3rd spark plug boot but it wouldn't move and when it did that little metal piece that was inside the boot that clicks on the tip of the spark plug it was still stuck to the spark plug tip....so now I have to buy new wires along with spark plugs....does anyone have any suggestions cause I am baffled????
