i have eibach springs and my ride is quite bouncy and either the springs or the struts are squeaking and i dunno if its my struts cause i heard if u lower ur car ur struts are gonna die.

I'm just trying to figure out whether they are worth it, with the price of the shocks and springs it could almost be enough to just buy the tiens.

You're probably right about that, especially the tien basics, which will handle better than any shock or strut.

tein basics are about $800 right?? so you figure $200 for springs...that leaves $600 for shocks and struts....i highly doubt they are going to be $150 each piece....there will be a big price difference between teins and shocks/struts and springs.

Yeah factor in performance though. What spring rate can you get, maybe 200? The tiens are like 300 up front and like 250 in the back, plus you can adjust ride height and if you go for the super streets, you can adjust dampening.

Shameless plug: I have a full set of OEM dampers in a box waiting for a good home. Anyone interested? I don't know what to sell them for... offers?

I have the SS kit, but I'd really like to finally see another option for my lancer bruthas!

the stock struts and shocks. you'll have to reuse your 3-bolt mounting plate up front and the 2-bolt plate in the rear.

Oh, the OZ upper spring perches, too. make an offer there, too....

We never got an answer - what makes these better than the stock KYBs?
