what kind of muffler?

Hey all, the guy at the local muffler shop told me that if got a good muffler they would do the piping for me for $50. I have known him for years so he's kind of giving me a deal. So now I was just wondering if any one could recommend a good muffler. I have already searched and people have said good things about magnaflow but I have no idea what size or shape to get. Any ideas. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. Sarah Ann

Yup, deep sound would be sweet. What size fits in the lancer, sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm not quite sure how the sizes work. Thanks

I would say nothing larger then a 2.5 exhaust. But with exhausts it's all about personal style and what you want it to sound like. So it's really up to you. You're mechanic guy will be able to put just about anything on there. Just remember that the larger you get the louder you tend to get as well.

Magnaflow makes great universal mufflers. Look at their center stainless steal line that way you don't have rust... also get a tip that you like made of stainless steal as well.

My suggestion is if u dont want it too loud, try a resonator or two. I have no resonator and it is quite loud, and that was before the test pipe.
