LSD Questions

Can these be installed on automatics and
standards? If so, the RRM LSD would be the
same for both auto and standard? Also how
much work goes into installing it with some
simple jack stands. PS. There were some
threads in the evo forums, but nothing that
was real consistent with our cars.

In that case, is there anything else
I can do to achieve higher traction,
besides the obvious upgraded tires.

Stiffening up your suspension should work as well. Strut bars, sway bar, tie bar and some good coilovers.

I'm kind of pissed, someone should get
an AWD conversion going. That would be
badass. Maybe lilevo could buy an 02-03
lancer ES.

This would be really costly and thus would defeat the purpose. If you are willing to spend the $$$ on an AWD conversion why not spend the extra cash up front and get an EVO.

Because maybe I have more pride passing an evo in a stock looking lancer? Make sense?

No. Even if your postcount wasn't below 50, it would be really easy to tell that you're a noob.

AWD conversion has been discussed to death- you could buy a new Evo for JUST the price of the swap.... that is, if the shop doing the swap doesn't get bored.
Motor swap has been discussed to death- see AWD conversion. Currently there is one Canadian attpemting this and it's been 2 months with no engine startup. Every conceiveable problem has come up. And he's making payments on it too. Funny thing- he said something about smoking Evos, too... and now he can't even push it down the street.
AT/MT conversion has been discussed, and I think ONE guy is trying it- no result yet because I think he ran out of money.

Stop being argumentative and before you start with the "hypothetical mods" and "well, if I had an unlimited budget, unlimited time and a full team of Formula 1 and NASCAR engineers, I could get it done" just stop, and search.

Why don't you sell your lancer and stop being so pestimistic. I have shops and connections that would help me get something like that going if I supplied them with the supplies... why don't you save your pestimistic posts for someone else's thread. People like you turn threads that are of good nature into flame wars, stop acting 'elite' while your ahead. Not only does it make you sound stupid, but it kills everyone else enthusiasm. Just because you don't want to do something crazy to your car, doesnt mean you have to kill everyone else's dreams, even if they seem inconcievable.

Look, everybody "has connections" and a dream. Fact is, if you had the kind of money that was required to do this, you would have bought the Evo in the first place.
Second- how do you propose to transfer the massive 120FWHP to 4 wheels and expect the car to be driveable?

And you best watch out who you're talking crap to- you're talking to a guy who's modified every system in the car in his own garage. when it comes to working on the lancer there are only a small handfull that know more than I do or have modified their car more than I have.

but you're right- how dare I present FACTS on the internet. you go right ahead and do your Evo engine and AWD conversion..... you just let us know how that works out for you

the black flag with a red star claiming defiance is a reference to Rage Against the Machine. God- you really want to start a fight here, don't you?
but, like being named "employee of the Month" at the fast food palce you work in, even if I were to win, I'd still be a loser. So I'm done.

good effing luck.
