I havent been a member that long, but i realized something right off the bat. Now i own an 04 OZ, so i dont share the engine of a RA, but i dont share the looks of the 1st gen lancers. I find my self lookin at RA show and shine, then NA lancer engine tech. Anyone else agree that a 2nd gen Lancer forum would be nice? i just wanna hear what everyone thinks.

wow, a good post. i ve never thought of that. seems like 2004 lancers have been stereotyped along with ralliarts due to their looks but i know ralliarts and lancers are totally different cars. maybe try contacting the moderators to see what they can do???

I agree, the 04 and up Lancer, ES and OZ that is, are basically the same with the exception of looks, which sucks iMO because I would love to replace the grill like the 03 and below guys can, as well as other stuff.

 

Thats a very true point and the first time I think anyone has said anything about it. I think you just need to rally up the 04+ owners and start threads a little more specific for you cars in show and shine and engine tech. While we might have different looks, I think we all can appreciate someone who has worked hard on their car and needs info for what have you.

i think we are actually the 7th gen lancer . i do the same thing. i always look in ralliart show in shine because it is the same car exterior wise, but still go to lancer engine tech. us 04s are shunned when we post in the lancer show and shine cause 02-03s aren't too excited about our looks. lol

 

umm guys this is not a novel idea, its been brought up long ago and obviously it didnt happen and i doubt it will happen.

edit: and also this isnt in the correct forum, it should be in the site feedback and suggestions forums

 

i think... as i already posted.. that because all the 04s share the same body and interior they should be in the same section... and just a seperate engine tech section... i think it would make more sense...

It's Mitsu's fault...They should have put the 160hp mivec into the OZ, and given the RA 200+hp.
