Quote: O and there was some speculation that you had to use a shorter belt if you used this cam gear on the lancer in one of the other threads... dont know if they decided on that or not.
Hmmm. Maybe hold it up to the stocker and compare size? And if it's off, ship that sucker back!

Hobie, where are you? (I'll be cleaning the posts up later...)

Rubber cover that goes over front motor mount. They sell them for $2. Covers it up so no one notices that it's not stock. I think Ralliarts have them stock.

Once I get the chance to compare the new cam's size with the OEM one...I'll make sure to mention something here.

Cam gear looks nice. What stage of camshaft are you going to go with?

OT: Does anyone know how much are valve springs for stage 2 camshaft???
OT: What else do you need for stage 2 camshaft??? How much $$$????

I've heard with Stage 1, it's not necessary for spring upgrades...is that right??? And has anyone dyno'd a new cam and cam gear setup...say the stage 1 N/A??? What kind of gains are we looking at??? Thanks.

I was out picking up oxygen and acetylene.

I wouldn't stress an adjustable cam gear unless you're modded beyond IHE. I can't speak from personal experience on this one, but it's an upgrade I plan to make eventually when I upgrade my cam as well.

Quote: Search.
You'd probably find that out better from someone who actually has a cam.

EDIT: lol. my search link broke already.

I talked to uranium9v who has the stage 1.5 cam and he said you can expect between 15-20hp at most

Basically uranium9v was the test subject for the stage 1 us lancer and 9v said that the idle was very lumpy so then rpw considered that to be the 1.5 and needed a little modification to get it to run right. The stage 1 now is a little less of a lift and needs no mods to support it. I'm pretty sure they still make the 1.5.....just need to specify.

I have a stage 1.

Not sure on the gains yet but all I have to compare to will be a header dyno.
SHould have one with all mods within the next 2 months though.

WADAD...do you have a new, lightweight cam gear as well with that setup??? Just want to see if the almost $500 for the cam is worth the extra HP. Post when you have an update. Thanks.

Did not do the cam gear. Might have been a mistake to not change that out at the same time but I need to look into some tuning also like an emanage or at worst SAFC.
I'll drop back in with the update once I get the dyno done. In the mean time you can look up my cam review in the engine tech section.
