If people want a cheap 7, don't go to Warrender. Yes, they advertise their cars at £27,500 but when I got a quote, the car came to £29,450. Why? Because stuff that some don't charge extra for, Warrander do - alarm, metalic paint, large centre consol ( only the RS is supplied without this) Road tax plus other things I cannot remember now. The cheapest 7 that Warrender had in stock was £28,950.

There are a few importers in the Uk who will sell cars at about £27,500. However, there is usually more risk involved that getting a car from Warrender or Ralliart - large deposits on order and then no car for 8 weeks as the car is shipped.

If I were to want to really save the money, I would sort the whole thing myself. I might do that with my next car - fly to Tokyo, source the car, arrange the shipping etc. And a holiday thrown in as well.

8weeks!

Hi there,

It sometimes takes a lot of time AFTER arrival in the UK port.
I have to book the SVA test, and now, VI require model report for the car that was manufactured after 1997.
It is so complecated that it takes a time.
Importer have to explain about all procedures, but some of them doesn't.
You should discuss a lot before pay deposit to the importer.
And importer need deposit to secure the car in Japan.
Ralliart is Mitsubishi, so Mitsubishi own the risk, but ordering without deposit is risky not only for the customers but also for importers.

Yours,
Shin

Well, I just said Warrender cause they'll be as likely, if not more, as Ralliart to take care of warranty issues. When I bought my 6 (30k, including hand-made exhaust, Blitz Sus-power and PE chip) I went into the whole thing a little too naive but was lucky to get to a guy who became a mate after all the things. He's a very small outfit with, well, quite a lot of dodgyness but in the end he has a very good service at very reasonable prices. I mean, when you'd see his workshop you'd think "Oh my god", but when you see the results of his work you'll be very impressed. He can source you anything from Ferraris to small Hondas. He runs a very successful scheme in where he gets Japanese write-offs (in Japan, cars get written off VERY easily), fixes them and sells them on. For example a 1999 355 GTS with only small damage (the guy had spun it, dents on all four corners and some bent wishbones) he bought for only 18k!!! Fixing costs were about 2000 pounds including all the damaged parts new from Ferrari and pronto, you have a car that will sell for 50-60k very easily... I was tempted to buy that car myself for a lot cheaper...

Don't worry about it, it was nothing important. I'll send it again.
