where did you hear that they are hitting 13s with stg2, only one that i know of was boe and he did a lot more than just stg2. all the other guys with rrms stg2 have not posted numbers (exceopt hotshot adn he was in teh 15s).

rods and pistons will cost much more than 1000, cheapest i could find was 549 for pistons and 699 for rods and then there is a pretty large cost for installation unless you do it yourself.

ifrared, do not excpect to ever be in teh 12s unless you want to do more work and time and spend more money than almost everybody save a select few, there are only two lancers that have posted 1/4 times in the 12s and one is rrms shop car and a lancer in puerto rico. even a stg2 kit will probably not even get you into the 13s unless you have many many other supporting mods.

Unless he is just out to beat any certain car. Stage 2 is pretty impressive. Everyone that has rode in my car had about ***t their pants. Also have surprised several people.

Evolutions are not that bad. For me, full coverage is the fallowing.

Per Month

Lancer $112
WRX $143
Evo $147
RSX-S $160
'ude $154
Civic $126
GS-T $200
GS $185
You will never save money on insurance going for a Lancer over an Evolution if you wan to go fast. Also you will get a larger % of you cash back if you sell the Evolution later.

$15k for Lancer + 10k for mods = 25k.
Resale Value 2 years later. ~$13, loss $12k

27k for Evo. Resale 2 years latter ~ 22k, loss ~5k
